DEAD FINGERS TALK.

London: John Calder, 1963. First edition. Dustwrapper reproduces an Ian Sommerville photo-collage of Burroughs' Olympia Press editions. SIGNED and inscribed by William Burroughs on the title page to Allen De Loach. Taking its title from the line in "The Naked Lunch", "Only dead fingers talk in braille", Burroughs included sections from "The Naked Lunch" (in a different sequence), "The Soft Machine" and "The Ticket That Exploded", along with some previously unpublished material in an attempt to create a new novel. There were no equivalent American or French editions. Very Good plus in price-clipped but otherwise unusually Near Fine dw. (M&M A7a).
