Oracle #1 (March 1967). Colour front cover. Contents include Peter Bergman on the Hopi Indian; a full-page ad. for the Easter Sunday Love-In in Elysian Park; centrespread photo-montage of the Los Angeles Love-In; Lawrence Lipton on the I-Ching; psychedelic artwork, etc. Unfolded. Spine and edges slightly frayed. Very Good.


Oracle #2 (April-May 1967). Front cover b/w photo-montage of naked hippies, each one holding up a face mask bearing the image of a rock star, Indian guru, or countercultural hero. Includes an in-depth 5pp. interview with Alan Watts by Nat Freedland; personal and spiritual growth; centrespread photos of the LA Love-In; Hopi philosophy; Elliott Mintz interview; numerous ads. for hip stores, etc. Very Good plus.


Oracle #3 (June 1967). The first issue with psychedelic colour front cover art. Contents include "How To Start Your Own Religion"; "On The Possibilities Of An LSD Utopia", by Thadeus & Rita Ashby; full-page colour ad. for Oracle Benefit Concert, featuring The Byrds, Kaleidoscope, Clear Light, and The Fraternity of Man; Leary film ad.; full-page psychedelic ad. for the Griffith Park Love-In; qtr.-page ad. for Monterey Pop Festival. Very Good plus.


Oracle #4 (July 1967). Includes post-Monterey text by Ravi Shankar; Miles's interview with George Harrison; news on the LA Diggers; full-page colour psychedelic ad. for The Fantasy Faire and Magic Music Festival (Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Country Joe & The Fish et al); psychedelic artwork; photos of hippies, etc. Very Good plus.


Oracle #5 (August 1967). Includes articles on STP; George Harrison and Ravi Shankar; an interview with the mentor of the psychedelic tribe, 'Strawberry Fields'; hippies in Hawaii. Paper slightly age-toned, o/w Near Fine.


Oracle #6 (October 1967). Includes an interview (3pp., illus.) with Timothy Leary conducted by the Oracle's editor Joe Dana at Millbrook; a 5pp. interview with David Crosby, numerous photos of The Byrds; psychedelic artwork. Old central horizontal fold, o/w Very Good.
