SF: Moore Galleries, 1967. Printed card pack in blue and gold designed to resemble an oversize packet of Zig-Zag rolling papers. Produced to accompany the 'Joint Show' at the Moore Gallery in San Francisco, July 1967, the first exhibition devoted to the work of the five principal West Coast psychedelic poster artists.


i) Original invite to the opening of the show (July 17th, 1967), designed by Wes Wilson in 3 colours, and folded vertically in thirds. Features Bob Seidemann's photograph of 'the big five' - Alton Kelley, Victor Moscoso, Rick Griffin, Wes Wilson and Stanley Mouse. SIGNED by Wes Wilson. Fine;


ii) 5 four-page fold-over artist folios, printed on yellow stock. Each one is illustrated with a Bob Seidemann photo of the artist, and contains artwork/graphics/texts/charts, etc. Kelley folio damp-stained, others Near Fine;


iii) Joint Show postcard on yellow stock featuring a group shot of the artists; iv) folio printing photo/bio. of one of the other participating artists, Gerhard Nicholson (lacking the other two, Richard Leonard and Ralph Chesse). Small loss to top corner and mild staining along upper edge;


iv) 8 original Family Dog postcards (FD44/FD46/FD49/FD51/FD54/FD58/FD59/FD62). All Fine.


The card packet is slightly flattened at the folds, as usual, and is lightly spotted, o/w Very Good. One of the key artifacts from the period, together with a signed invite.
