Logue created his first poster poem, 'To My Fellow Artists', with Germano Facetti in 1958, who subsequently introduced him to Derek Boshier and Pauline Boty at the Royal College of Art. Logue wrote 'Gone Ladies', an adaptation of Villon's 'Ballade des dames du temps jadis', in 1966 and dedicated it to Boty, who died that year at the age of 28.
