Miles first met Hoppy while still at art school at the beginning of the sixties, during which time he regularly hitched to London and stayed in Hoppy's west London flat. Later, they started Lovebooks together, published The Global moon-edition Long Hair Times, and co-founded International Times, Europe's first underground newspaper.
