SKIN TWO MAGAZINE #1 (Kingston on Thames, Surrey: pub./ed. Tim Woodward, nd. [1983]).

Quarto b/w magazine, stapled. 16pp., incl. cover.

The inaugural issue of this fetish magazine, founded by publisher Tim Woodward and feminist photographer Grace Lau. It was named after the reference to fetish clothing as a 'second skin' and the weekly Skin Two club in Soho they had first attended in 1983 (a by-product of the punk movement and the bondage and fetish-related wear it helped popularise). Contents include an interview with Daniel James, designer of latex dresses and trousers for BOY and other shops; Grace Lau on "The Voyeuristic Camera"; a detailed listing of specialists in fetish wear (including BOY, She an Me, Men's Leatherwear and Madame Medeq); a descriptive listing of nightlife (featuring Maitresse in London, Fantasy Retreat on Sunset Blvd., the Hellfire Club in New York City and Club de Sade in Hamburg); + ads.

Printed in an edition of 1000 copies. A Very Good plus copy of the first issue of this pioneering magazine, now a widely sold glossy covering all aspects of fetish subculture and host of the annual Rubber Ball in London.
