An original mail art postcard by Genesis P-Orridge, addressed to Peter van Beveren, dated 6th June, 1975 and postmarked 'Hackney 9th June 1975'.

9.3x13.8cm. Short, lower right corner crease, o/w Near Fine.

The postcard prints a b/w photograph of the Dutch city, Middelburg, overlaid with a negative photo-transparency featuring an advertisement for the Italian liquer, Galliano. An affixed strip of gold paper borders the left edge. P-Orridge has titled and signed the card on the verso - "TITLE OF THIS CARD IS 'COUM-SPIRING' Genesis P-Orridge".

The recipient's address, embellished with P-Orridge's characteristic small drawing of a tree, has been written out in P-Orridge's hand to the verso, with 'File Under Coum' and date stamps added.

A large diagonal rubber stamp, partially obscured by the address and a thin layer of tippex, announces the upcoming Art Information Festival at the Vleeshal - Townhall, Middelburg, September 13th-October 19th, 1975, a group show of mail art curated by Van Beveren that included work by P-Orridge.
