Original poster announcing a concert by Pere Ubu and The Suicide Commandos at the WHK Auditorium (Cleveland, Ohio), 18th February (1978), altered by Genesis P-Orridge with the addition of rubber stamps, and inscribed and signed by him on the verso to Jon Savage.

Printed offset litho in black on off-white paper stock. 43.3x28cm. Old central horizontal fold; two vertical creases; short tears to lower edge; o/w Very Good plus.

P-Orridge has added three stamps to the recto, including 'INDUSTRIAL MUSIC…FOR INDUSTRIAL PEOPLE' at the top (a phrase attributed to Monte Cazazza), and inserting 'THROBBING GRISTLE' above Pere Ubu in the line-up. Three stamps appear on the verso: '17 JAN. 1977 CEASE TO EXIST' (in memory of the date of Gary Gilmore's execution), 'TG' and 'HATRED IS NOTHING', along with a brief inscription: "dearest Jon, To cheer you up whilst you are busy Gen…3", embellished with a small drawing of a tree.

Pere Ubu's gig in their home city was the first date on their Blank Records/Coed Jail! North American tour. When Pere Ubu toured the UK later in the year, David Thomas accompanied P-Orridge to one of Cosey Fanni Tutti's gigs at a Shepherd's Bush pub, where she used the Pere Ubu song 'Heaven' in her strip routine.
