This was Suicide's first show following their UK tour with The Clash. Alan Vega later recalled the gig: "It was this huge place like a ballroom, the stage was very low. It was very dark and we were into our third song and I see people milling about and I go over to Marty and say, 'Ok Marty, be careful here it is coming,' expecting to be bottled or worse. All of a sudden the lights went on and flashed on these big disco balls. I looked out and everybody was dancing. I walked back to Marty and said, 'We are fucked, we are finished, this audience, I cannot incite it, they are dancing man!" (Suicide: No Compromise, p.114).
