Frank Stack, who worked under the name of Foolbert Sturgeon to avoid persecution for his work while living in the Bible Belt, published "The Adventures of Jesus" in 1962, considered by many to be the first underground comic. "The New Adventures of Jesus" was the first of a trilogy published by the Rip Off Press between 1969 and 1972 (items #92 and #93). Covers rubbed and slightly creased; overall, Good.
