The Stones.

The Stones.

Np. (Amsterdam?): nd (c. 1971). SIGNED and dated (July 1971) on the first page by Felix Dennis, with his bookplate inside the upper wrapper.

A Dutch bookleg printing a Stones discography and the lyrics (in English) to approximately 150 of their songs. The uncredited front cover cartoon of the band members, along with Mickey Mouse and their stage set-up, is probably by Robert Olaf Stoop*, co-founder of the Amsterdam-based Real Free Press and creator of one of Europe's first underground comix, Roza's Lotgevallen (1966). Includes a full-page b/w photo of Brian Jones (from December 1968, taken during the recording of 'The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus' TV show).

Lower edge of front cover darkened; back cover slightly marked; o/w Very Good plus.

* Addendum: Further research has found that the cover cartoon is by the Dutch cartoonist and illustrator, Peter Pontiac, not Olaf Stoop.
