Tarantula. Bob DYLAN.

Hibbing, MN: Wimp Press, nd. (c. 1970). Quarto. Mimeographed sheets, stapled. 54pp. Cover sheet with spider image, title, author and three-line statement of intent to donate royalties to Caladan Free School (named, as Peter Doggett pointed out in "There's A Riot Going On" [p.347], "for a fictional planet created by science-fiction author, Frank Herbert") and to "contribute to the furtherance of Woodstock Nation."

One of several pirated editions of Dylan's novel, taken from the Macmillan proofs after production was delayed following the author's motorcycle accident in July 1966. This one is dated by the reference to Woodstock, and, despite the spurious imprint, was probably printed in San Francisco.

Front and back sheets unevenly age-toned, o/w Very Good plus.
