By Any Means Necessary.

By Any Means Necessary.

NY: Douglas, 1971. LP record (Douglas 14). Front cover art by Abdul Mati Klarwein.

Douglas originally billed the record as "a highly-charged collection of 5 of Malcolm X's most memorable raps", which were "recorded live before black audiences during the two years preceding his death and run from 30 seconds to five minutes long. Included are 'By Any Means Necessary' [his speech at the founding rally of the organisation of Afro-American Unity in 1964], 'Our African Identity' and 'This Is the Era of Revolution' ".

Disc excellent; sleeve slightly rubbed, with evidence of old price sticker removal to lower edge of back cover.
