Original flyer announcing Tyrannosaurus Rex at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester, 22nd February, 1969, together with a NEMS Enterprise programme produced for the tour (titled "For The Lion And The Unicorn In The Oak Forests Of Faun"), for which this concert was the fourth date.

Flyer designed by Hipgnosis, printed in red, yellow and black on white semi-gloss paper stock. 29x18cm. Short lower left corner crease, o/w about Near Fine.

Programme oblong 8vo. Stapled wrps., 8pp. Prints song lyrics from 'Prophets, Seers & Sages: The Angels of the Ages' and 'Unicorn', followed by photographs of Marc Bolan, Steve Peregrine Took, and John Peel "and his ladye" (a hamster). Also prints full-page ads. for IT (with John & Yoko's naked bottoms peeking through the psychedelic design), and Marc Bolan's book of poetry, 'The Warlock of Love', plus ads. for a record shop in Soho and Simon's Stable head shop on the Portobello Road. The back cover prints a Regal Zonophone ad. for Tyrannosaurus Rex's record releases.

The tour also featured mime by David Bowie, who was invited by Marc Bolan to open for Tyrannosaurus Rex and is mentioned on the programme's front cover. Bowie, who had trained under Lindsay Kemp, performed a one-man routine depicting China's invasion of Tibet. It received a negative reaction from the concert audiences, probably quickly forgotten after the release and instant success of 'Space Oddity' a few months later (years after he admitted that "Nobody in the world likes mime").

Minor handling wear and light rubbing, o/w Very Good plus.
