Typesetting done in collaboration between Piero Heliczer and the book's designer and publisher, Asa Benveniste.

A collection of poems, including "a purchase in the white botanica" and "the death of stephen ward", with accompanying illustrations and photographs by Wallace Berman (verifax and collage), Jack Smith, Jean-Jacques Lebel (xerox and collage), Ferro (Erró), Andy Warhol (a still of Heliczer from his screen test), and Harold Chapman.

The collection is titled after Heliczer's short film from 1964, 'The Soap Opera', which featured Jack Smith, Angus MacLise, La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela, among others.

Edges of lilac colour endpapers slightly age-toned, as usual; very small blemish to lower board; o/w Near Fine in dw., with several fine spray splash dots to lower panel.

One of 500 copies, of which the first 60 were signed.
