JOGLARS #1-3 (all published). Providence, RI: Spring 1964-1966.

Edited by Clark Coolidge (and Michael Palmer, first two issues only). Issues #1 and #2 octavo, stapled wrps., 44pp. + 98pp.; third issue quarto, side-stapled, unpaginated (74pp.). The second issue includes "from the peacock vow", a work in three sections by Piero Heliczer (5pp.).

Originating from a suggestion by Charles Olson and named by Michael Palmer, the idea for the magazine was "to find and show more of the work we were fascinated with" (Coolidge).

Its first two issues features contributions from Gary Snyder; Michael McClure; Fielding Dawson; Jonathan Williams; Lorine Niedecker; Robert Kelly; John Wieners; Joel Oppenheimer; Carol Bergé; Louis Zukofsky; Larry Eigner; Stan Brakhage; Russell Edson, Jackson Mac Low, as well as Piero Heliczer, and the third and final issue contains work by the younger New York School poets (Aram Saroyan, Bernadette Mayer) alongside texts by John Cage (13pp.) and Stan VanDerBeek (a manifesto on Expanded Cinema), and a section of concrete and visual work by Ian Hamilton Finlay; Edwin Morgan; Dom Sylvester Houédard; Carl Fernbach-Flarsheim; and John Furnival (whose 'Devil Trap' is illustrated on the front cover).

Slight dustiness to white wrappers, o/w Near Fine. Individual copies in such nice condition, and in particular the scarce final issue, are uncommon, complete sets still more so.
