Contains a comment piece on 'Chelsea Girls' by 'Preston' - " 'Chelsea Girls' was for me a vision of hell... an image of the total degeneration of American society." The author continues with a description of his encounter afterwards with Jack Smith in a 42nd Street coffee joint, who is quoted at some length - "His main contribution lies in the truth of his soundtrack which underlines the phoney nature of the commercial movie.
