THE VELVET UNDERGROUND.

NY: MGM Records, 1969. Stereo LP record (SE 4617 - promo white label/West Coast pressing; side A runout etched SE 4617 Side 1 MGS1824 REV SP; side B runout etched SE 4617 S-2 MGS1825 SPECIAL REV). Front cover photograph of the band by Billy Name.

Lou Reed's so-called closet mix (the UK version had a more conventional mix by Val Valentin), and, according to Discogs, "supposedly a different mastering, a dryer sound than the yellow label promo or any of the stock issues."

Partial surface loss to orange/black "DJ Not For Sale" sticker on front cover; sleeve slightly rubbed and lightly edge-worn, o/w Very Good; original MGM inner sleeve (upper corner crease and unobtrusive ink name).

Vinyl has a few hairline marks; plays with some crackles and pops; overall Very Good.
