The Inevitable World of The Velvet Underground.

Madrid: self-published, 2012. First edition. 4to. Illustrated wrps., with flaps. 504pp. Edition limited to 500 numbered copies (this one #89).

A CD enclosed inside the rear flap contains all known VU-related radio interviews, reviews and advertisements broadcast during the band's existence (58min.).

The book reproduces a comprehensive and pretty much exhaustive collection of Velvet Underground articles, reviews and ads. taken from the underground, music and daily press, even including John Wilcock's letter printed in The Long Hair Times in London in April 1966.

It also features a separate 10x8 facsimile reproduction of the actual press photograph used in the November 21, 1966 Detroit Free Press article, "A Mod Pair Joined in Holy Matrimony" (this bizarre occasion saw artist Gary Norris and his go-go dancer girlfriend, Randy Rossi, get married during a three-day festival held in Detroit called the Carnaby Street Fun Festival. The Velvet Underground played 'Here Comes the Bride', while Andy Warhol, as "the father of Pop Art", was chosen to play the father of the bride).

As new, with original packaging.
