The first two issues of the Journal of the London Film-Makers Co-operative, "intended as a platform for advanced criticism, and for imaginative writing on and around the theme of contemporary cinema", the first issue of which appeared only three months after the Co-op was formed. By the time of the second issue, in which Bob Cobbing lamented "the almost complete lack of co-operation from the New York Film-Makers' Co-operative", membership of the LFMC stood at 100.

Contributors include Jonas Mekas, Bob Cobbing, Simon Hartog, Raymond Durgnat, George Andrews, Ron Geesin, Stephen Dwoskin, and the editor.
