Programme for the first Workshop of Free Expression, organised by Jean-Jacques Lebel, May 25-30, 1964, together with a flyer printed on pink paper on two sides.
The programme provides information on each of the events, which included a jazz session with Johnny Griffin; happenings by Tetsumi Kudo, Bazon Brock, Wolf Vostell, Ben Vautier and others; film screenings by Man Ray and Henri Michaux; drama by Carolee Schneemann (the first performance of 'Meat Joy') and Rita Renoir; a seminar on art featuring Otto Hahn, Edgar Morin and Pierre Restany; and 'Exit' by George Brecht.
Other artists listed on the programme whose work was exhibited in the week-long event (the first of several international events organised by Lebel between 1964 and 1967), include Pauline Boty; Christo; Ferro; Richard Hamilton; Roy Lichtenstein; and Andy Warhol.
