Cover design for 'Speaking In Tongues' by Talking Heads.

NY: Sire Records/Warner Bros., 1983. Limited edition LP record (1-23711). The plexiglass sleeve is a multiple by Rauschenberg, based on a series of sculptures he completed in 1967, with three overlapping semi-transparent plastic discs in cyan, magenta and yellow, each of which swivels to make combined images, including a wrecked car, a highway billboard, and a suburban bedroom. The record itself is pressed in clear vinyl.

Rauschenberg won a Grammy Award for the design, and Andy Warhol reportedly purchased a copy at Tower Records in the East Village.

Unopened and still shrinkwrapped, with usual yellow discolouration to cover.
