Two autograph postcards signed from Brion Gysin to Bill Levy, c. 1972.

In the first (92 words), Gysin thanks Levy for sending him a birthday greetings card featuring "the still from a movie I last saw in Marseille circa 1937: 'Soeur Vaseline' made circa 1918 [in fact, 1925] by and with the same man who became Pathé-Nathan [sic] news reels etc." Levy later accompanied this information with a reproduction of the still in question (a photograph of a nun fellating a monk) in his book, "Wet Dreams - Films & Adventures" (1973). Gysin adds that he would like to be sent any more information "on all this as it figures in the long novel about Paris which is on its last legs."

In the second postcard (approx. 35 words), Gysin thanks Levy for his card "which just got to London where I am, alas, having given up the Tanger scene. Nothing good here but that's the way it crumbles love Brion".

The first postcard features a colour photograph of African dancers, the second one the frontage of a building in the Moroccan city of Tetuan. Very Good plus.
