Faithfull: An Autobiography.

Boston/NY: Little, Brown & Co., 1994. First edition. 310pp. + two 8pp. photo-inserts.

SIGNED and inscribed by the author on the half-title-page: "To Ellen Marianne Faithfull x".

Marianne's memoirs of her childhood (her mother was Eva von Sacher-Masoch, the great-niece of Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, author of "Venus in Furs"); her early career as a teenage pop star (beginning in 1964, when she was 'discovered' by Andrew Loog Oldham), and high-profile relationship with Mick Jagger (much about the Redlands bust and 'Performance'); the homelessness and battles with heroin addiction and anorexia nervosa she endured during the 1970s (she lived on the streets of Soho for two years); and successful comeback with her album "Broken English" in 1979.

The autobiography was accompanied by the release of "Faithfull: A Collection of Her Best Recordings", for which an Island promo card is laid in, and a movie based on the book is currently in the works.
