Lunch's loosely autobiographical ('novelised') confessions of sexual misadventure, drug use, and her assault on men ("No names have been changed to protect the innocent. They're all fucking guilty").

Lunch rose to prominence in the 1970s as the originator, singer and guitarist of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, and collaborated with Sonic Youth on "Death Valley '69", the video for which was co-directed by Richard Kern, with whom Lunch later worked as part of the Cinema of Transgression movement.
