Excellent biography, portraying Zappa and his work in the context of his upbringing, diverse musical influences, and the social and political climate of the day. Miles first met Zappa in New York in 1967 when Ken Weaver of the Fugs took him to see the Mothers of Invention at the Garrick Theatre. Later in the year, Zappa used the Indica bookshop as his HQ when he visited London, and International Times printed the lyrics to 'Absolutely Free' to publicise the album.
