Not mentioned on the handbill, though listed in that week's Berkeley Barb, Sylvester's midnight shows were preceded earlier in the evening by local singer-songwriters Pamela Polland (then living in Mill Valley), and Terry Dolan. The Encore Theatre was a small downstairs space next to The Stage Door on Mason Street in downtown San Francisco.
