ANTIGONE.

A group of 11 b/w photographs from The Living Theatre's production of 'Antigone' (1968). Includes two grainy prints of Julian Beck and Judith Malina, each measuring approx. 23.5x18cm., the latter image of Malina as Antigone replicated in a smaller size (14.8x10.5cm.), and a group of eight stage shots (each 8.8x12.7cm.) featuring Julian Beck, Judith Malina, Petra Vogt (who joined The Living Theatre in 1962 and assisted Malina in her translation of Brecht's 'Antigone'), and other cast members. Vintage prints. Photographer unknown. Very Good.

'Antigone', the last script written by a playwright that the company produced, was, like 'Frankenstein', a favourite with The Living Theatre's audiences in America and Europe, and continued as a part of The Living Theatre's repertory until the group broke into cells in 1970.
