MYSTERIES & SMALLER PIECES.
A group of 34 b/w photographs from The Living Theatre's production of 'Mysteries & Smaller Pieces', c. 1968. Sizes vary, most approx. 23x17cm. Vintage prints contained in an orange Agfa-Gevaert box, 24 of them stamped 'Philip J A' on the verso, 4 stamped 'Jean-Paul Saint-Martin', and 5 stamped 'A rendre le jour de la séance à l'administrateur de productions d'aujourd'hui' (one print not stamped). At least one photograph in this latter group is by Gianfranco Mantegna (see front cover of item #81).
Includes images of Julian Beck, Judith Malina (who coined the title 'Mysteries and Smaller Pieces'), Jenny Hecht, Steven Ben Israel, James Anderson, Luke Theodore, Petra Vogt, Sandy van der Linden, Hans Schano (Echnaton), and others during performance and rehearsals.
Slight curling to edges, o/w Very Good.
