Jacopetti's chronicle of individualistic hippie style, from psychedelic patches representing a "revolution in consciousness" to some of her own embroidery work, the vision for which "came to her at orgasm".

Bay Area countercultural individuals who appear in its pages include "Glitter Boys" Scrumbly and Pristine Condition of The Cockettes. The author previously co-founded the Open Theatre in Berkeley with Ben Jacopetti, and helped organise the Trips Festival in January 1966, before moving to the Morning Star commune in Northern California, then to Sunshine Camp in nearby Forestville, where this book was completed.
