A critical overview of the Ant Farm collective (who were founded at an architecture workshop directed by Lawrence Halprin in San Francisco in 1968), including an extensive interview by Constance Lewallen with members Chip Lord, Doug Michels and Curtis Schreier; an essay by Michael Sorkin on the cultural context of their radical architecture (encompassing rock music, French surrealism, American car culture [most famously their Cadillac Ranch], and sexual liberation); and additional essays by Caroline Maniaque and Steve Seid.
