Healdsburg, CA: Harman Publishing, 2012. First edition. Lge. 4to. Glossy self-wrps., 236pp.

The author's personal recollections of the La Honda and Santa Cruz commune scene, in particular the Holidays Cabins Commune at Ben Lomond in the San Lorenzo Valley, frequented by the Grateful Dead, Timothy Leary, Jefferson Airplane, and the Merry Pranksters. Illustrated with numerous b/w photographs, press cuttings, flyers and ephemera. Among those who feature are Lou Gottlieb (Morning Star Ranch), Gene Carlson (Om Foundation), Fritz Perls (Esalen), Ed Lange (Elysium Fields), Neal Cassady, and Ken Kesey, alongside firsthand accounts from others who were there.

Further sections document the Bridge Mountain community, "nudist ranch" Eden West, The Hip Pocket Bookstore in Santa Cruz, nearby hangout The Catalyst, The Barn in Scotts Valley (played by Captain Beefheart, Janis Joplin, and Country Joe & The Fish), the Red Dog Saloon (The Charlatans), the Elysium Fields clothing-optional Growth Center in Topanga Canyon, and the Pacific High School (where the author studied) and its dome building project.
