POETS OF THE WORLD/POETS OF OUR TIME Final Bulletin.
Single quarto sheet of blue paper, mimeographed, recto only.
The final bulletin (of three), announcing "Readings, Improvisations, Happenings, Symposium & Final Poets Communique", with a much-expanded list of "Participating guests to date".
In addition to those participants announced on the first two bulletins (Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Alexander Trocchi et al) the names of (among others) Paolo Lionni, Bruce Lacey, Feliks Topolski, Bill Butler, Jeff Nuttall, Ruth Fainlight, Marcus Field, and George Dowden, and in absentia, William Burroughs, have been added.
This final list illustrates the extent to which the planned event had quickly expanded to link the worlds of beat poetry and the artistic avant-garde (John Latham, who is not listed, also took part), and its exhortation to "…COME… in fancy dress… COME… with flowers… COME…" anticipates the flower power era (the audience were greeted at the door on the night by Kate Heliczer and girlfriends with faces painted in paisley patterns handing out flowers).
Crease to upper left corner and general handling wear and light creasing; overall Very Good.
