Item #39521 London Teenager's Acid Death Leap. ACID MORAL PANIC.

17.

London Teenager's Acid Death Leap.

Original Evening Standard newsstand poster. London: nd. (c. mid-late '60s). 74.5x41cm.

A good example of the tabloid press’s pursuit of outrage in connection with the use of LSD and its propagation of the idea of someone on acid thinking he could fly and jumping out a window, a largely manufactured fear that permeated popular culture and the mass media at the time.

Neatly folded in three, in very well-preserved condition, especially considering its age and original purpose.
