A biography of Leary by his former colleague at Harvard, a semi-square psychology teacher introduced to LSD by Leary but who never got “with it”. During an interview Slack conducted with Leary in Switzerland in August 1972, he became convinced Leary was using heroin, though he never witnessed it (in fact, Leary was introduced to the drug by Brian Barritt, or more specifically, his partner, Liz Elliot, who, like many others, had obtained it from Alexander Trocchi).
