An early attempt “to clarify the events of the free speech controversy”, providing a chronology of events (September 14 - December 10); a range of observations from the viewpoint of students, admin staff and faculty members; a questions and answers section; and an appendix of documents. The first draft of history, issued by the FSM and assembled after “the final hectic weeks”.
