8vo. Stapled wrps., 8pp. + 16pp.

The bi-weekly course catalogues offer classes titled “Survival and Guerrilla Warfare”, “Psycho-Active Drugs”, “The World Game” (Buckminster Fuller), “Psychology a la Esalen”, “Yippie and the Revolution”, as well as Draft Counselling and Chicano Problems. The preamble, printed in both catalogues, states: “Amistad (friendship) the Free University was established after a week of national and local turmoil to meet the needs of those individuals who wanted to discuss, study and act upon those problems and concerns of our society that are not covered in the university curriculum… There are no requirements - except interest” (the national turmoil probably refers to the Kent State shootings of May 4 in which four unarmed students were killed by the Ohio National Guard).

The mimeographed sheet (35.5x21.4cm.), titled “What Is A Free University?” (date stamped September 24, 1970) provides an introductory statement about the school and its goals.
