SIGNED and inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: “To Mike - for Love - and - Revolution - David” (the recipient, Mike Henshaw, was the accountant for the Philadelphia Association, of which Cooper, one of the organisers of the Dialectics of Liberation, was a founding member).

A pioneering work in which Cooper coins the term ‘anti-psychiatry’ in modern use for the first time, referring to it in the preface as being at a “germinal” stage.
