A beautifully produced book containing French multi-disciplinary artist, photographer and fashion designer Hedi Slimane’s stunning b/w photo-portraits of Lou Reed, Keith Richards, Brian Wilson, David Byrne, Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty, Sky Ferreira, Girls, Courtney Love and many others in the alternative and DIY music scenes in London, New York and California, taken over a fifteen year period. Originally published to accompany the exhibition held at the fondation Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent in Paris from September 18, 2014 to January 11, 2015, but subsequently withdrawn for reasons unknown, with most copies reportedly destroyed.
As new, still sealed in publisher’s shrinkwrap.
Together with: an original poster issued to promote the exhibition, featuring Slimane’s b/w studio portrait of Lou Reed, New York, June 5, 2013, one of the last photographs to be taken of him. 75x60cm. Near Fine (rolled).
