THE POETRY PROJECT NEWSLETTER #29, #33-37, #39-41 (NY: The Poetry Project, November 1, 1975 - January 1, 1977).
4to. Mimeographed, stapled, each 8pp. Ed. Ted Greenwald. A broken run of nine issues, all mailed to the author, editor and publisher Bill Levy in Rotterdam.
Based at St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery, The Poetry Project Newsletter began as a monthly publication in 1972 and continues as a quarterly to this day. Its function, then as now, was to list new publications and upcoming events, most of them concerned with contemporary poetry, but also including announcements of plays and exhibitions, later expanding to include reviews, articles, poems and gossip.
Among the contributors to the issues here are John Ashbery; David Shapiro; Paul Violi; John Godfrey; Lita Hornick; Alice Notley; Glen Baxter; Bob Rosenthal; Opal Nations; Pat Nolan; and Regina Beck.
Coffee splash marks to #41; cigarette burn to #40; some age-toning and old mailing folds, o/w Very Good.
