Thirty sound and concrete poems, published to celebrate the author’s visit to England for the International Poetry Incarnation at the Royal Albert Hall on June 11, 1965 (a fortnight earlier Jandl and Cobbing had given a joint reading at Better Books). Jandl’s performance of his sound poetry at the Albert Hall featured a reading of ‘schmerz durch reibung’ from this volume, and his joint reading of Kurt Schwitters’ ‘sneeze poem’ with Michael Horovitz and Pete Brown was one of the evening’s most popular.
