Tomorrow's People.

London: Jerome Publishing Co., 1974. First edition. 4to. Wrps., 128pp.

Jeremy Sandford’s account of the rise of pop festivals in Britain (the Isle of Wight, Phun City, Weeley, Glastonbury, Bath, Bickershaw, Windsor et al), profusely illustrated throughout with colour and b/w photographs by Ron Reid, who has inscribed and SIGNED this copy on the title page (Reid also contributed to Suck and the ‘Wet Dreams’ book).

His photographs include some of the performers who played at the festivals (Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, the Pink Fairies, Hawkwind, among others), as well as the pot smoking, often naked hippies who attended them.

The book’s title is taken from the eponymous song by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, whose band Sky Co performed at the third Windsor Free Festival in 1974.

Together with:
