Profusely illustrated throughout in colour and b/w, featuring the larrikinism of many Australian artists in ‘60s London, including album covers, paintings and posters by Martin Sharp, Brett Whiteley’s Christie murder series, Sidney Nolan’s Ned Kelly series, photographs by Lewis Morley (including his Christine Keeler portraits), images by and of Barry Humphries, and Bob Whitaker’s images of the Aloszko sisters (Oz #5, ‘Plant a Flower Child’). Includes reminiscences from many of the Australians who formed part of the cultural exodus to London in the ‘60s - Richard Neville, Louise Ferrier, Marsha Rowe, Jim Anderson, Martin Sharp, Albie Thoms (all of whom contributed to Oz), and many others. Also features several poms who played key roles in the social and cultural mix of the era, among them Eric Clapton, Felix Dennis, David Hockney, Caroline Coon, John Mortimer and John Lennon.
