An announcement poster for ‘Transfer’, a Happening that involved the transfer of coloured barrels over a period of three days to various sites. Organised by Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut in February 1968 and dedicated to Christo (the work references Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s 1962 action, ‘Iron Curtain’, in which they closed a narrow street in Paris with a wall of 89 oil barrels in protest against the recently built Berlin Wall).
