“This book of drawings and paintings represents a life’s work - the ‘spirit walkabout’ of an Australian artist called Vali Myers. Each work has taken anything up to a year to complete, in some instances even longer. Using a fine English pen nib set onto a goosefeather, carefully diluted Chinese ink, gold leaf and watercolour onto hand-made paper, Vali works by night in her ‘cage’ with her fox for company” (dw. blurb).
Myers was one of Patti Smith’s inspirations (she tattooed a lightning bolt on Patti’s knee in honour of Crazy Horse).
Near Fine in dw., with two, short closed tears at tail of spine panel, and one very short, closed tear to bottom edge of upper panel.
