The first and only issue of this film magazine, published to coincide with the University Arts Festival and intended to be “a critical introduction to what is at least experimental, perhaps also avant garde, in film at present.”

Front cover features Don Levy’s “Herostratus” (1967), and inside front cover reproduces the original poster for Kenneth Anger’s “Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome”.

Includes contributions from Stephen Dwoskin, P. Adams-Sitney, Alan Lovell, and others, and Raymond Durgnat interviewed by Tessa Pudney (7pp.). Illustrations include stills from films by Kenneth Anger, Stephen Dwoskin, Stan Brakhage, Robert Breer and Ron Rice, and the centrespread prints four stills from Jack Smith’s “Flaming Creatures”.

Cover slightly creased at spine, with two faint staple indentations to right edge of upper wrapper, o/w a Very Good plus copy of this scarce one-shot magazine, produced by its editors while they were still students, and the precursor to Afterimage, the film journal they founded in 1970.
