This deluxe publication reproduces the photomontage artworks by Savage and Linder from their 1978 ‘zine The Secret Public as full-page, individually numbered silkscreens, with each one of the six prints of Jon Savage’s artwork signed by him. In “The Secret Public: How LGBTQ Performers Shaped Popular Culture, 1955-1979”, Savage writes about how the images “explored various aspects of consumerism, urbanism, gender and sexuality” (London: Faber & Faber, 2024).
