Wallace Berman In Conversation.

Easthampton, MA/Woodbridge, CT: Edition MUTA and Derringer Books, 2015. LP record (MUTA 05). Limited edition of 400 copies.

A previously lost recording featuring Wallace Berman discussing his work with Shirley Berman, Hal Glicksman, and Jack and Ruth Hirschman, made as part of the preparations for a group show focusing on LA artists at UC Irvine.

Recorded by Hal Glicksman at the Berman family home, Topanga Canyon, August 6, 1968, and mastered from the original tape recording by Jason Lescalleet. Text by Tosh Berman printed on the sleeve’s back cover. Berman, who rarely, if ever, agreed to being interviewed, was initially unaware that he was being recorded, and the conversation’s tone changes markedly when he discovers that he is being taped.

As new (still sealed).
