Curse Go Back.
(London): Paradigm Discs, 2016. LP record (PD31), fourth edition. Clear vinyl. Limited edition of 500 copies, each one individually numbered on a large insert which reproduces a scaled-up contact sheet of nine photographs of Burroughs in London (1960) by Harriet Crowder on one side and prints “The London Years”, a text by Ben Harper, to the other.
The sleeve’s front cover prints one of Crowder’s London photos of Burroughs on the front and one from his trip to Wales in 1960 on the back (the very next frame was used for the cover of “Call Me Burroughs”).
Produced by Jim Pennington (Aloes Books) in association with Clive Graham (Paradigm Discs).
The record features edited recordings made by Burroughs in London: “The recording is undated but would appear to be from 1968. The tape was originally sent to Brion Gysin in Paris, who left it in the care of Ramuntcho Matta who then issued the full 62 minute recording in 1998 under the title Electronic Revolution. It first appeared as a limited edition CD with the first edition of the French magazine Crash. This recording has remained a lost part of Burroughs’ experiments and investigations into the power of words and uses a combination of the cut-up technique and tape manipulation” (sleeve notes).
Mint in sleeve.
