Snack… Two tape transcripts.
London: Aloes Books, 1975. First edition, first issue (title page printed in black and red). 8vo. Stapled wrps., 36pp. (variant without blank endpapers). Cover photograph by Roy Pennington. Introduction by Jim Pennington (the book’s publisher).
Prints the transcript of a radio broadcast made in 1964 by Mottram around the time of the TLS ‘Ugh!’ correspondence surrounding the publication of “Dead Fingers Talk”, including lengthy passages of Burroughs reading from his work, and the transcript of a conversation in 1973 between Burroughs, Mottram, Jim Pennington and Graham Dawes (the publication’s title is derived from the snack lunch the participants shared in Burroughs’ Duke Street, St. James’s flat; this included wine, though, as the book reports, Burroughs drank only milk).
Very Good plus.
TOGETHER WITH:
a postcard reproduction of Roy Pennington’s cover photograph of Burroughs by the lift in his London apartment building, printed later by Jim Pennington. Near Fine.
